Bugün, yani 6 Ağustos 2010, Japonya'nın Hiroşima kentine atılan atom bombasının 65. yıldönümü.. 1945 yılının 6 Ağustos günü, saatler sabah 8.15'i gösterirken ABD hava kuvvetlerine ait bir B-29 bombardıman uçağı olan Enola Gay tarafından bir atom bombası Hiroşima semalarında bırakıldı.. Little Boy - Amerikan ordusu ölümcül silahlarına bu ismi uygun görmüştü - yere ulaşana kadar Hiroşima'da hayat olağan akışındaydı, bir savaş sırasında ne kadar olağan olabilirse.. Ancak Hiroşima'ya düşen bomba, sabah mahmurluğunu bir anda cehenneme çevirdi.


İlk aşamada ölenlerin 80,000 civarında olduğu tahmin edilirken, yıl sonuna kadar bu rakam yaralıların ve özellikle de radyasyona maruz kalanların eklenmesiyle yaklaşık 130,000'e ulaştı.. Bugün bile düşündüğümüz zaman dehşete düştüğümüz bu olay, sadece 3 gün sonra Nagazaki'de de tekrarlanınca Japonya savaşta teslim olmuştu..

65 yıl sonra, bombardıman kurbanlarının anıldığı bugün, tüm dünyadan duyulan ses ve temenniler ortaktı; nükleer silahlardan arındırılmış bir gelecek beklentisi.. ABD'nin Japonya büyükelçisi John Roos, gelecek nesiller aşkına nükleer silahsızlanma çağrısı yaptı bugün Hiroshima Barış Anıtı Parkı'nda.. Bu açıklamanın, Hiroshima ve Nagasaki bombardımanlarından sorumlu, üstelik de dünyanın 2 numaralı nükleer silah üreticisi olan bir ülke yöneticisinden gelmesi ironik olsa da çok manidar.. Arabulucu niteliğine sahip kurum olan, Birleşmiş Milletler'in Genel Sekreteri Ban Ki Moon, ve gene birer nükleer güç olan Pakistan ve Rusya'nın temsilcilerinin de Hiroshima'da bulunmaları, bu sayede güvenli bir dünya geleceği için söylenenlere yakından "kulak misafiri" olmaları bizim için sevindirici..

Bu çerçevede Japonya başbakanı Naoto Kan'a kulak verelim; "İnanıyorum ki, bir savaşta nükleer yıkıma uğrayan tek ülke olan Japonya'nın ahlaki görevi, dünyada nükleer silahsız bir gelecek için yapılacak çalışmalara öncelik etmektir"..

Today,  August 6th 2010, is the 65th anniversary of the atomic bomb was dropped into Japanese city of Hiroshima.. On 6 August 1945, when the clocks were pointing out 8.15 AM, an American B-29 bombarding plane, which was named Enola Gay, dropped an atomic bomb over Hiroshima.. It was a daily routine (as much as it could be during a war period) in Hiroshima until Little Boy - this was the name of the deadly weapon, given by the American army - reached its target.. However, the bomb felt in the heart of Hiroshima city, turned the morning drowsiness into an inferno, in a moment..


At first stage, it was estimated that 80,000 people had died, just after the nuclear bomb had exploded.. Until the end of the year the number of losses, had reached to 130,000 people when the injured and those affected from radioactivity also lost their lives.. As the calamity that make us shivering even today, had repeated 3 days later in Nagasaki city, Japan had surrendered in World War II..


65 years later, on the day of remembrance the victims of bombarding, the sounds and wishes from all over the world were common; the expectation of a future cleaned from nuclear weapons.. The American ambassador to Japan John Roos, made a historical speech in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, where he asked for a world without nuclear weapons for the sake of future generations.. Although it is ironical, that the announcement came from a representative of the country responsible for Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombardings, and also a country that is the number 2 seller of nuclear weapons as well; it is meaningful to criticise the common usage of those dangerous material.. United Nations, which has the negotiator role in these hot subjects, were also represented in today's memorial by General Secretary Ban Ki Moon.. Pakistan, and Russia, 2 more nuclear powers, had also sent envoys to Hiroshima as well.. It is a comforting fact for those, who has a wish for a future away from nuclear weapons, to see these critical parties "overheard" the speeches in Hiroshima..


Inter alia, lets hark to Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan; "I believe that, as the only nation that faced a nuclear devastation in a war, Japan's moral responsibility is, to lead the efforts for a future without nuclear weapons, and provide a strong ground for the world peace"..
